Bay Harbor Islands
The Town of Bay Harbor Islands is located west of Bal Harbour and Miami Beach. This bay front real estate neighborhood grew from the vision of Shepard Broad, who came to America from Pinsk, Russia in 1920.
Seven years later he got a degree from New York Law School and brought his wife Ruth to live in South Florida.
In 1945 he acquired two undeveloped swamp islands, located between the beach barrier island and the mainland. Mr. Broad filled the swamped ground and started building homes. He was joined in this venture by businessman Benjamin Kane.
The Bay Harbor Islands condos buildings are minutes from South Beach, Bal Harbour Shops and Downtown Miami. Real Estate varies from fine waterfront Single Family homes to condominiums and apartment’s complexes.
The town is proud of a “A” rated elementary school, professional offices. Its location makes Bay Harbor Islands a very desirable place to live.
