In many science fiction stories and movies we have seen about flying cars. Yet, it is all set to become a reality for rich people in Miami, Florida! The richest segment of the population will be able to fly by air avoiding all the traffic and the rush. They will also see the city from a different perspective. The service ultimately is aimed to services from Uber and Airbus.

Personal transportation drones from Uber and Airbus will now be able to pick up and drop customers from the top of luxury buildings. The technology for flying cars already exists today and within the next few years by 2020 it will be a reality. The final outcome for this project will also depend upon regulatory issues.

Miami is gearing up for this future technology as they are already building skyscrapers with the landing pads for the upcoming flying cars. These cars will be like air taxis, which will act as a solution to Miami’s ever growing traffic problems. Flying vehicles will alleviate transportation congestion and on-ground traffic dramatically. The vehicles will be similar to helicopter. Although, there will be some major differences – these vehicles will be much quieter and also smaller in size. Keeping all the environment problems in mind, these cars will also be environmentally friendly.

Understandably, the flying cars will be very expensive and a luxurious option for transportation. The wealthiest people living in Miami, who constitute 1 percent of the population, will be the only able to afford this option while the 99 percent of the rest of the population will still be stuck in the traffic.

Flying cars have still not become reality but we are close! Landing pads will be the latest trend for the wealthiest people in Miami. Their luxury homes will include flying-car landing pads. Three latest luxury condos in Miami are all set to get the landing pads in their super-rich extravagant towers. The docks for the flying cars will be built on the penthouse or the rooftop of these houses. This is not only getting us closer to a futuristic idea but also bringing in another way of transportation.

One of the three luxury buildings is Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum is almost complete. The 62-storey building also has added amenities such as resort-style pools, spas, jogging paths, gardens, villas, summer barbeque kitchens, lounges, a jam room, tennis courts and also a soccer field. The residents of the building can have private aviation access as well. The apartments in the luxury condos would range from $5.8 Million to almost $20 Million.

Another building is the new Ritz-Carton Residences in Miami Beach – which will also install a landing pad. This is an oceanfront condominium that is scheduled to open in 2019. This one will be the unique one because it will have a floating helipad. Or else, it can also be a big boat for landing once the drones are available, they can be used for private jets as well. Price residences in the Ritz-Carlton are about $40 Millions.

One Thousand Museum is the third condominium in Miami which is all set to install the landing dock. This one is a 62-storey building which will have the pad on its rooftop. The pad will also serve as an observing deck looking over Biscayne Bay.

In a few years, the landscape of transportation in the world will undergo dramatic transformation – especially in Miami, where it is now so close to be a reality!
